Our Philosophy

Empower Us is committed to the belief everyone should have equal opportunities to succeed in business or in employment.

Empower Us believes that every person in Canada should have the opportunity to achieve their full potential regardless of their socio-economic background or racial status. We do this by providing integrated services that empower individuals, families and communities to achieve financial independence.

We aspire to create a world where Canada’s diverse population is recognised and respected, and have equal access to opportunity. No one will be left behind because of their background or status.

We believe that the inclusion of marginalized communities is vital for the prosperity of our country and the world.

Our philosophy is simple: we are here to lift people up, to inspire and empower their minds, so they can see possibilities, beyond the daily limitations they face.

Theory of Change

Our Theory of Change is the Foundation of our approach to economic and knowledge empowerment. It is a framework that recognizes that the success of the business owner is directly linked to the community they serve. Empower Us provides opportunities for people to grow, succeed and make a difference in the following ways:
  • We believe that by supporting businesses, skilled workers, and entrepreneurs from visible minorities, immigrants, under-served, and under-represented groups in Canada we are also supporting social change.
  • We build the capacity and business skills of under-represented groups so they are able to generate employment and wealth.
  • We create and support vibrant communities of diverse entrepreneurs through our entrepreneurial skill training and mentoring. These entrepreneurs contribute in unique ways to the Canadian entrepreneurship ecosystem.
  • We promote and share resources to create sustainable jobs that meet the needs of marginalized communities.
  • Through our career programs and services, we help clients build skills, confidence, and connections that lead to meaningful employment and self-sufficiency.
  • We promote equity, diversity, and inclusiveness in the community by providing opportunities for all levels and members of society.
